Superintendent / Principal

MATERIALS
Professional Qualifications:
1. A minimum of five years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant/Associate Superintendent,
and/or Administrator at the district or county office level in California is preferred.
2. Possession of a valid Clear California Administrative Services Credential and a valid Clear California
Teaching Credential is required.
3. A Master’s degree is required; an advanced degree beyond the Master’s is desirable.

• A personal letter of interest explaining your reasons for applying for the Superintendent position
• A current resume detailing your educational background, professional experience,
and notable achievements
• A written response to the essay question (see details below)
• At least three recent (within the last six months) letters of professional reference
• A copy of your valid California Administrative Services Credential and Teaching Credential
• A copy of your Master’s degree

Essay Question not to exceed 500 words is:
"Student achievement data across the district reveals a significant decline in academic performance, particularly amongEnglish Learners (ELs), students with disabilities, and other
underserved populations. As the Superintendent, describe how you would lead a strategic response to improve academicoutcomes for all students. Address your approach to instructional leadership, stakeholder communication, and systemicchange that promotes equity and excellence."

 
All of the following documents are required for this position:

Letter of Introduction (Personal Letter of Interest)
Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three Letters of Recommendation issued within the last six months)
