JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21670 Position Title: Advisor TTC Title andCode: Academic Advisor (AE002) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location:UW-Stevens Point Main Campus Supervisor: Max Trzebiatowski, SentrySchool of Business and Economics Advising Manager Position Summary TheSentry School of Business and Economics (Sentry School) advisor isresponsible for working with the Advising Director and other staff inthe Anderson Center to provide a quality advising program for SentrySchool students. The position will advise existing Sentry Schoolstudents from a variety of populations, including transfer students,drop-in students, and low-GPA students. Since the Sentry School has apresence on UWSPs Wausau and Marshfield campuses, the advisor may beasked to travel to the branch campuses to provide advising services tostudents. The advisor will support the Sentry School advising programadministratively by helping design and maintain resources, gather andreport data, and assist peer and faculty advisors. The advisor will alsoplay a prominent role in student recruitment and retention. The advisorwill help with student recruitment by discussing programs withprospective students at recruitment events and through personalcommunication. Administratively, the advisor will also help withrecruitment by helping manage Sentry School recruitment campaigns toensure that materials are produced and disseminated on schedule. Theadvisor will help with student retention efforts by helping develop andimplement retention initiatives for existing students, such as ourFirst-Year Experience program. The advisor reports to the Sentry Schoolof Business and Economics Advising Director. Schedule: 8:00am-4:30pm,Monday-Friday.
