Position Overview:
Join our team as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow, supporting students across various schools within our district. This full-time, supervised role offers an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and develop clinical skills under the mentorship of an experienced speech-language pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to students with communication disorders (articulation, language, fluency, voice disorders).
Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students' needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans and collaborate with educators and parents to set goals.
Document and track student progress according to state and district regulations.
Collaborate with school staff, including teachers, special education teams, and administrators, to foster a supportive environment.
Participate in IEP meetings to develop goals and objectives for students.
Maintain a caseload, ensuring timely and effective delivery of therapy services.
Engage in ongoing professional development and supervision as part of the CF process.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Completion of required coursework and clinical hours for licensure.
ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain.
State licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
Completion of required Clinical Fellowship hours.
Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment with students, parents, and school staff.
Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based therapy (preferred).
Passion for working with children and a commitment to improving student outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in school-based settings (internships or practicum).
Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
Experience working with a diverse student population.
