Assistant Principal Jobs in Shepherd, TX
An Assistant Principal, also known as a Vice Principal, is an integral part of a school's administration team. They fulfil a variety of roles that may include managing school activities, overseeing daily school operations, coordinating curriculum, supervising teachers and staff, monitoring student progress, and enforcing disciplinary rules. Prior to becoming an Assistant Principal, individuals may hold positions such as Classroom Teacher, Department Head, or School Counselor. Importantly, they must have a strong educational background, often including a Master's Degree in Education Administration or a related field. An administrative certification is also usually required.
