ORGANIZATION VISION
Greenway Arts Alliance housed on the Fairfax High School (FHS) campus unites communities through art, education and enterprise. Through our professional productions and events, arts education and social enterprise programs, Greenway builds a vibrant community by connecting artists, students, educators and community members together in an effort to promote community vitality, economic growth and intergenerational understanding. Greenway has developed a unique innovative partnership with Fairfax High, a public school located in Los Angeles. Through our professional productions and spoken word events produced at the Greenway Court Theatre (housed on the FHS campus); our extensive in-class and after school arts education programming at FHS, known as Greenway Institute for the Arts and Leadership (GIA); and our unique art-based social enterprise program, the Melrose Trading Post (MTP), Greenway is working to comprehensively engage in community-building through the arts. Our vision is to reintroduce the role of FHS and Greenway Court Theatre as a central gathering place where students, neighbors and residents come together to create, enjoy and benefit from exemplary works of art, as well as to engage in arts-based economic development, as one community.

ARTISTIC VISION
Greenway believes in the power of the arts to inspire and stimulate; it commits to passing on knowledge and experience to the next generation; it seeks a genuine, deep engagement with its community by producing and presenting theatre, spoken word, media arts, and dance performances that represent and reflect the unheard voices and rich diversity of Los Angeles.
